Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig is seeking a motivated associate to support both litigation and transactional work in our Richmond VA office. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate with 1-3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate must have excellent writing and research abilities and be comfortable taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, arguing motions, drafting pleadings, and managing deadlines. This is a full-time, in-office position located in the Midlothian area of Richmond, Virginia. We believe in fostering collaboration and professional growth through in-person interaction and mentorship.

Required Qualifications:
- 1 to 3+ years of Litigation or related experience.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be admitted to the Virginia State Bar.
- Represent the interests of clients in litigations in state courts, a federal court, or a federal administrative agency.
- Supervise and conduct complex legal research and analysis.
- Capable of day-to-day case management.
- Collaborate in case strategy discussions.
- Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, interrogatories, and other legal correspondence and litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Communicate and work with local counsel.
- Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically.
- Ability to work independently or with a team of attorneys to develop case strategies.
- Working with others in a team-oriented environment is essential.
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Judicial clerkship, law review, and/or law journal experience preferred, but not required.
